If you’re a New York Knicks fan, this is your lucky year. Already, Nike has unveiled a special Knicks-inspired Foamposite (although, we should warn you: There’s no way you’re going to get your hands on it!). The Air Jordan IV has dropped in a Knicks colorway. And, most recently, Ewing Athletics put out photos of a special 33 Hi sneaker in Knicks colors that’ll be dropping soon. So, you Knicks fans have absolutely no excuse for not wearing a pair of Knicks-colored sneakers along with your Knicks jersey this fall.
But, those aren’t the only Knicks sneakers that are dropping this year. If you’re a fan of New York basketball, you’ll also love the new Jordan Flight 45 High Max sneakers. Drawing inspiration from both the Nike and Air Jordan Flight series of the past (if you ask us, they also draw a little bit of inspiration from the Air Yeezys!), these sneakers feature a royal blue and orange makeup. They’ve also got the Flight logo on the tongue, a huge Max Air unit, and the Jumpman logo on the back. And, as if there’s any doubt as to who these sneakers were made for, there’s a Carmelo Anthony graphic on the inside of the tongue, too. These are Knicks all the way.
If you’re interested in snagging a pair, they’ll be hitting retail in this colorway next month for $150. That gives you plenty of time to stack a little paper so that you can buy a new Knicks jersey and these sneakers before the start of the 2012-13 NBA season. You really can’t go wrong with these if you’re a Knicks fan. And, even if you’re not, these are a pretty solid pair of high-top sneakers. So, keep a close eye out for other new colorways this fall. Nike and Jordan have a pretty good thing going here.
