Jordan Brand recently unveiled the new signature sneaker of New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony that is expected to get a lot of attention on the sneaker market starting next week.
The new Jordan Melo 11 will be released for the first time on Wednesday in White/Black/Cardinal Red/Bronze colorway as part of the Jordan Holiday 2014 Collection.
This edition of Anthony's 11th Jordan Brand signature shoe features a white-based upper part combined with cardinal red linings, black tongue and bronze Jumpman branding and Melo signature.
The Melo 11 "Christmas" will be available for $170 per pair. More photos of this shoe are available on this link.
Aside from the Christmas edition, Jordan Brand will also release the Melo 11 in Blue Graphite/Black/Game Royal/Metallic Silver colorway, dubbed as the "Concrete Jungle" to pay tribute to New York City.
"Inspired by the concrete jungle, this colorway of the Jordan Melo M11 juxtaposes the grit and shine of one of the world's greatest cities, " Jordan Brand said in a statement. "The gray across the forefoot echoes the concrete streets and the detailing on the tongue is a nod to brightly colored graffiti and street art, while a subtly speckled midsole evokes the bright lights of the city that never sleeps."
The Melo 11 will also hit shelves in White/Gym Red/Black colorway or the "Jordan Family" edition.
According to Jordan Brand, Anthony personally picked the colorway to pay tribute to previous Air Jordan shoes traditionally worn by Michael Jordan when he was still playing for the Chicago Bulls. This edition was also inspired by the Bulls-Knicks rivalry during the 1990s.
Jordan Brand will also release the Melo 11 in Black/Gold colorway, which will be the first shoe of such colorway in the history of the Melo shoe franchise. This simple-looking edition features a black-based upper part finished off with gold midsole and translucent blue outsole.
