The upcoming Air Jordan Retro release lineup looks like it will feature some Air Jordan 12 sneakers from two different eras in Michael Jordan’s NBA career. Jordan purists will be psyched to learn that the OG “Cherry” colorway of MJ’s 12th signature silhouette will be making a comeback for the first time since 2009. In addition to the “Cherry” release, sneakerheads will also see the return of the AJ 12 in the popular “French Blue” iteration.
The Air Jordan 12 “Cherry” is comprised of a white and True Red color code that remains a favorite among fans of the storied silhouette. Many basketball fans will recall Jordan wearing the OG iteration in a game against Allen Iverson (revisit the iconic face-off in the gallery above). Whether or not you root for the Chicago Bulls, the “Cherry” 12s are pretty much a must-have for any Air Jordan collection.
Commemorating Jordan’s third and final stint in the NBA when he played for the Washington Wizards, the “French Blue” 12s originally dropped in 2005, several months after MJ retired from the game for good. Along with the white and French Blue combination, the shoe features red accents on the heel tab.
