Initially released in 2003, the Air Jordan 8 Chrome is getting the remastered treatment in December of this year. Considered to be one of the first non-OG colorways, the Air Jordan 8 Chrome will come in a black durabuck upper contrasted by the grey and white hits placed throughout the shoe, most noticeably on the logo on the tongue and heel of the shoe. The shoe gets it “chrome” name due to the chrome detailing on the buckle of the strap. Considered to be a highly coveted release from the Jordan Brand 2015 Holiday Retro Lineup, if you’re looking to get a pair, I advise not to sleep on these from the get-go.
I’ve never been a fan of the Air Jordan 8. I feel like too much is going on with the upper. The cross-straps, the abnormal look of the heel, the hairy tongue logo, it’s all too much for me. I’m a bit disappointed that Jordan Brand decided to make this a part of the Holiday Lineup collection. Look at the bright side, at least I’ll have $200 to spend on the fam this Christmas.
